Fraternity means family.
A fraternity is essentially a family comprised of college students. Lambda Chi Alpha provides young men life-long experiences, friends, and memories. When you need someone to talk to, there is always a brother who genuinely cares about you. Just like family, we understand you’re human and seeking to find and improve yourself.
Lambda Chi Alpha is brotherhood.
A fraternity creates a family relationship among its members, bringing together a group of men who will be loyal and helpful to each other. At times, the college years can be tough and Lambda Chi Alpha gives each student the nearest equivalent to a home that can be found at college. These times often bind men in friendships for life.
Lambda Chi Alpha builds men of character.
Lambda Chi Alpha was founded on seven core values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Service and Stewardship, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. Each member is held accountable for their actions and words. Lambda Chi Alpha also helps members with academics by setting a grade point standard and offering a variety of study programs. These values help young men grow into responsible, mature, men of character.
Lambda Chi Alpha is equality.
Lambda Chi Alpha was the first fraternity to abolish “pledging” with the associate member program. Since that time, associate members have had full and equal rights in the chapter, including voting privileges, ability to hold office, attend all meetings and functions, and wear the letters of Lambda Chi Alpha. New members are immediately integrated into the chapter and assigned a big brother. A big brother teaches the essentials of chapter operations as well as helping with new member education.
